Every year merseyside institutions complete a Graduate Destination survey. This survey is designed to evaluate where and how Graduates disseminate into the wider working population.
This page will explain some of the main findings of the Graduate Destination Survey.
Graduate retention
Below, describes trends in the amount of graduates remaining within the Merseyside region:

Other key facts that can be gleamed from this survey are:
- From 1999 to 2001 Merseyside has retained just over 60 % of its domiciled graduate pool
- Of those domiciles whom left and studied at other HEI’s approx 30% have returned to Merseyside each year
- Merseyside also retains just over 20% each year of our Non-Merseyside domiciles studying on Merseyside
- Overall graduate retention levels have risen 4% from 30 to 34% over the last 3 years
