Agencies and Web Sites
There are a number of employment and recruitment agencies across Merseyside which seek to match jobseekers to permanent or temporary job vacancies. Initially most agencies require a copy of your CV and will need to establish what kind of work that you are looking for as well as the skills and experience you have to offer. For a list of recruitment agencies in the Merseyside area visit www.yell.co.uk.
Most of the larger traditional graduate recruiters advertise their vacancies in the main graduate directories such as Prospects and Hobsons Directory, other sites worth checking are:-

North West Student and Graduate Online (nwSAGO)
NWSAGO is an excellent source of vacancies for graduates looking for work in the Merseyside and surrounding areas. The site contains a searchable vacancy database, information and advice about the job search process and a registration facility which enables you to specify your job preferences and have relevant vacancy details emailed directly to you.
MerseyWorkplace - a regional job and career development site

Liverpool Fairs - details of graduate recruitment fairs in the Merseyside region
Business directories are another good source of information about local companies. Most give very basic details such as name and address of employer, their main business and number of employees. Others give specific information targetted at a particular user group. Business directories with details of local firms include:
- Merseyside Graduate Employer Directory - a database of Merseyside companies who actively recruit graduates. The directory gives employer contact details as well as details of their recruitment policies, areas of work graduates are recruited to and degree disciplines sought. The database is searchable and is available via the web.
- Liverpool Business Centre Business Directory
- Thompsons Directory - lists local organisations by service or trade
